Student Profile

Jenna Muschong

I am a senior at Syracuse University, majoring in Real Estate with minors in Geography and Landscape Architecture at SUNY-ESF. I have a passion for urban planning and I am specifically interested in land use planning, smart growth, and public/private development. I’m originally from Lexington, KY and served as a research intern this past summer where I studied rural land management policies in relation to urban expansion. At Syracuse Community Geography, I was able to work on the Food Hub project to create a series of maps to visualize the distribution networks of food hubs, customers, and producers. Being involved with SCG has given me practical experience using GIS to better benefit the communities I’m a part of!
