Lauren Ashby

I am a Masters student in Geography and the Environment and the Graduate Research Assistant in Community Geography for the 2021- 2023 academic years. My own research is situated between the areas of community geography and critical geographies of education and I use participatory methodologies to examine issues of segregation, space, equity, and access within K-12 education systems alongside high school students. I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2021 with a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences with concentrations in Geography and Spanish, but I am from Syracuse originally and I am loving reconnecting with the Syracuse community through all of the great work done at SCG!
