Eleanor Weinzapfel

I am a senior majoring in Environment, Sustainability, and Policy and Geography with a minor in Spanish. I am interested in environmental justice in general, but more specifically in the Midwest. My favorite classes at Syracuse have challenged me to think differently about the world, our history, and the history of city planning. Back home, in Evansville, Indiana, I regularly volunteer with a community collaboration started during the pandemic called Read Evansville. Read Evansville raises money and distributes new books to children to help prevent learning loss in children. This work has sparked my interest in community geography. I am currently working with on cultural market assessments during this internship.
