Tree canopy cover is a measure of the percent of surface area that trees cover in an area. This map displays data downloaded from Google’s Environmental Insights Explorer and displays Syracuse’s tree canopy cover by census tract. Furthermore, this map displays Onondaga Earth Corp’s tree planting sites from 2005 – 2022, aggregated at the census tract level.
