What does community mean to you? Join us to meet and chat with other community-engaged scholars. This is the fall kick-off event for a series of informal, semimonthly gatherings among those interested in community-engaged scholarship and teaching.

Anyone involved in community-engaged scholarship and teaching or who wants to learn more about place-based, community-partnered research and teaching is welcome! RSVPing will help us bring enough coffee and snacks, but is not required.

Workshop | Creating and Sustaining Community Relationships

How do we foster and sustain relationships with communities? Prior to her lecture on Friday at 3PM, Professor Katherine Hankins will join us for an informal conversation about creating and sustaining impactful relationships across disciplines and communities. Drawing from her 10-plus years of experience leading the NSF-funded Community-Soil-Air-Water (CSAW) community-learning project in the Dept of Geosciences at Georgia State University, Prof. Hankins will share insights on  the importance of centering relationship building in community-partnered research.

Anyone involved in community-engaged scholarship and teaching or who wants to learn more about place-based, community-partnered research and teaching is welcome! RSVPing will help us with a head count, but is not required.
