Op-Ed: How to Grow San Diego’s Food Security from the Grassroots

An interesting piece about a group of refugees turned urban farmers. The Bahati Mamas grow organic produce in their San Diego community farm and distribute it to farmers markets and restaurants in the area. Their goal is not to turn a profit, rather the group wants to improve food access in their neighborhood, which has about half the amount of grocery stores needed to serve its population.
